HACP manages several thousand housing units in community settings, high rises and scattered sites around the City. Additionally, many privately owned housing units are provided through the Housing Choice Voucher Program.

Housing Choice Voucher Program

Notice of the suspension of the one-year residency requirement waiver.

Effective November 1, 2015, the waiver of the one-year residency requirement is suspended.

All applicants to the Housing Choice Voucher Program that have not lived in the City of Pittsburgh for one year as of the time of application processing will be required to use the HACP voucher issued to them within the City of Pittsburgh’s jurisdiction for one year.
