Notice of Closing of LIPH Waiting Lists

April 10, 2014

PUBLIC NOTICE of CLOSING OF LOW INCOME PUBLIC HOUSING WAITING LISTS

Effective Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 3:00 p.m., the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) will close all remaining waiting lists currently open for communities of the Low Income Public Housing Program.

The HACP closed many Low Income Public Housing community waiting lists for certain size “standard” apartments on April 2, 2013; those waiting lists will remain closed.

With the added closures effective April 30, 2014 at 3:00 p.m., please be advised that ALL community waiting lists for the HACP’s Low Income Public Housing Program will be closed.

No pre-applications will be accepted for ANY Low Income Public Housing community waiting list after the closing date and time.  Public Notice will be provided when the HACP determines to re-open the waiting lists for specific sites.

The HACP has determined that based on HUD regulation, a public hearing is not required when opening and closing the waiting list.  Therefore, only public notice will be provided as stated in the prevailing Admissions and Continuing Occupancy Policy (ACOP).
