Bedford Dwellings to Host Back-to-School Bash

The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) is hosting a free community event at the Bedford Hope Center on Monday, August 21 for elementary and middle school students. The Barbers and Bags Back-to-School Bash is an exciting family event to help the students prepare for the new school year.

The event will be held on Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at the Bedford Hope Center, 2305 Bedford Ave., Pittsburgh. Young men will receive a free haircut, and young ladies will receive a free girls’ essential bag. Refreshments will also be provided. This event is open to any Bedford Dwellings family that includes a child who is in elementary or middle school.

Pennsylvania Representative Jake Wheatley and Pittsburgh City Councilman Daniel Lavelle will be in attendance. The HACP would also like to thank Kool’s Barber Shop and Mark Anthony Hair Salon for providing services at the event.
