HACP is proud of the role it has played for over six decades in being the premier provider of affordable and safe housing in the City of Pittsburgh. Of course, HACP provides numerous services to our residents to help them achieve the goal of self-sufficiency, but the primary service remains supplying safe and affordable housing.
HACP's housing is available to individuals and families, including special provisions for senior and persons with disabilities. HACP manages several thousand housing units in community settings, high rises and scattered sites around the City. Additionally, many privately owned housing units are provided through the Section 8 program.
For information on housing for persons with disabilities, please contact the HACP 504 Coordinator at 412-456-5020.
To find out about the availability of HACP properties please contact our Occupancy Department at 412-456-5030, or occupancy@hacp.org.
Update Oct. 2, 2006: The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh is no longer accepting applications for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program due to limited funding availability and an already extensive waiting list. At this time, the HACP is unable to predict when the Section 8 Waiting List will be re-opened. When we are able to accept applications, HACP will make an announcement in newspapers of general circulation.
