Community Description: Glen Hazel is located in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of Hazelwood. Glen Hazel is a close-knit family community, where many have raised their families. The community is minutes away from the city’s most popular shopping districts: The Waterfront in Homestead, Squirrel Hill, Oakland and West Mifflin (Century III). The units are spacious town homes featuring a number of modern amenities. The Glen Hazel Family Community can accommodate any family size from single person to a family of six. Some of our larger units have integral garages, family rooms and one and one-half bathrooms.

    Location: 895 Johnston Ave.
    Program Description: Food distribution for Glen Hazel residents.
  • Knowledge Connection
    Provider: Allegheny County Library Association
    Location: 895 Johnston Ave.
    Program Description: The Connection, which is set-up as a mini library operate over 30 hours per week to provide youth with after school programs and educational activities, adult basic and literacy education, reading clubs and support groups. Carnegie Library cards can be used to take out books. Each Center is equipped with computers, with Internet access, for resident usage. High school students work in the Centers as library assistants and adult residents are referred to fill the position of reading center managers.

    Program Description: Sport, tutoring, and mentoring program for youth age 13-18.

Driving Directions

From downtown, take the Parkway East to the Squirrel Hill exit. Merge onto Beechwood Blvd. Go straight on Beechwood until 4th traffic light at Imogene Road. Turn right on Imogene (which turns into Johnston Avenue). Roselle Court is on the right.
