The Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) provides approved families with rent subsidies paid directly to the landlord by HACP on behalf of the family. HACP calculates these assistance payments based upon the family's annual income, eligible expense deductions and maximum housing assistance amounts by bedroom size, referred to as Payment Standards.

As a landlord, you may perform whatever verifications checks you normally conduct, and you select a tenant who is qualified, eligible, and acceptable to you.  Additionally, HACP is happy to assist you in marketing the availability of your rental units.  Detailed information on the benefits of the program for you as a landlord, and how to participate may be obtained by clicking on the menu items to your left.
